Horses have always been an integral part of my life. Competing in Hunter/Jumper and Dressage I always found a passion for being in the show ring. I was fortunate to have the opportunity at a young age to study and work under Jill Hassler of Hilltop Farm. That experience fueled my passion for Dressage and the connection between horse and rider.
Propelled by this interest I attended the Pennsylvania State University and received my BA in psychology. Upon graduation I joined AmeriCorp volunteering as a teacher/counselor in their equine therapy program and quickly became certified as a NARHA riding instructor . I continued my equine therapy work at several different therapeutic program throughout Georgia, North Carolina and Florida.
Over time, as each equine relationship developed it helped broaden my understanding of the human/equine bond and laid the foundation for my understanding of the spiritual possibilities that exist between species. While immersing myself in the care of horses and developing my riding skills I found myself on a quest for spiritual and physical balance in my personal life as well as my life with my equine partners.
This quest has lead me to traveling the United States in search for a deeper understanding between horse and rider but also the ultimate riding experience. Traveling to different regions of the country to expand my knowledge of the many equestrian disciplines. Through each type of riding discipline, I hope to expand my knowledge of how horses of all breeds enhance the lives of humans.
